Common questions
Should I be a sole trader or a company?
It depends on your risk, income and plans. A sole trader is simple and cheap to run; a company separates you from the business but costs more to administer. We'll explain the trade offs for your situation.
When do I need to register for GST?
Once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 a year ($150,000 for non-profits), or straight away if you provide taxi or ride-sourcing services. Below that it's optional.
